In the Sustainable Tourism Management course, students learn to develop tourism activities that preserve cultural and natural resources, ensuring that tourism benefits local communities while minimizing environmental impact.
Additionally, Environmental Statistics enables students to analyze and interpret environmental data, which is crucial for assessing and solving urban and environmental challenges in line with sustainable urban development. The Recycling Technology course equips students with practical skills in waste management and resource conservation, contributing to cleaner cities by reducing waste and promoting recycling efforts. Water Conservation and Management teaches students how to implement sustainable water practices, a critical component of creating resilient cities in the face of water scarcity and climate change. Finally, Urban Entomology helps students understand and manage urban pests in environmentally responsible ways, ensuring healthier, more sustainable living environments.

This study emphasizes the significant accumulation of plastic waste in coastal areas, which negatively impacts both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. The presence of microplastics in the water, as identified in the research, is a direct consequence of inadequate waste disposal practices, often linked to urban and industrial activities. Addressing these challenges by implementing better waste management systems, improving water quality, and promoting community awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution is essential to building sustainable cities and communities.
